Foundation unveil new electric vehicle with Midlands Truck & Van Image

Wolves Foundation are delighted to reveal their new electric vehicle, in partnership with Midlands Truck & Van.

The unique black and gold design highlights the range of projects that the club’s official charity deliver, and will be used by Wolves Foundation staff on a daily basis to make a difference across our city.

Provided by the Wolverhampton branch of Midlands Truck & Van, the new one-of-a-kind eVito van builds on the existing relationship between the Foundation and the approved Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealership.

Over the last three years, Midlands Truck & Van have supported the Foundation’s distribution of food parcels and supplies in the community, plus the delivery of breakfast, lunch and equipment to activity camps during school holidays.

As well as offering reliable transport throughout Wolverhampton and beyond, the new Foundation-branded eVito will dramatically reduce the charity’s carbon footprint.

This ties in with Wolves’ ‘One Pack One Planet’ philosophy, a package of sustainability commitments aimed at becoming a net zero football club by the year 2040.

Kieron Ansell, business development manager at Wolves Foundation, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to link up with Midlands Truck & Van again and can’t wait to see the eVito van out and about across the city.

“The final result is really striking in the black and gold colours and will be great to raise awareness for the club’s official charity.

“But not only does it look great, it will also help us push forward with our club-wide aim for net zero emissions.”

The keys were handed over at Molineux by truck services manager for Midlands Truck & Van Wolverhampton, and Wolves season ticket holder, Garry Banks.

Garry said: “I was delighted to hand over the eVito to the Wolves Foundation team.

“The charity do fantastic work in our local communities and it’s something I’m especially proud to support as a lifelong fan of the club.

“Wolverhampton is a city all about community, and I’m really pleased that Midlands Truck & Van can support the Foundation to continue to make a positive difference to thousands.”
