This weekend sees the return of Wolves’ Foundation’s annual Focus Fixture, when the game with Chelsea will shine a light on the work of Wolves’ official charity.

Wolves Foundation deliver over 40 projects to people of all ages and abilities across the city, built around three pillars of support: Encouraging healthier and more active people, developing lifelong learning and skills and safer, stronger communities.

The game also falls on the weekend of the ‘Premier League Supports’ campaign, highlighting the work of football club charities across the country.

The overall aims of the Foundation centre around creating opportunities and changing lives, and Saturday’s game will both promote the wide range of the charity’s projects, but also contribute to fundraising to continue to support the activities.

“As Wolves Foundation and the club’s official charity, we are delighted to once again have the chance to showcase our work to the Wolves fans attending Saturday’s game,” says head of Wolves Foundation Will Clowes.

“The Foundation has grown substantially in recent years and are very mindful of our role which now sees us strategically placed in the city as one of the key organisations in our sector.

“Also, when you bring it down to a personal level, we experience at first hand the genuine and significant impact the Foundation have had on people’s lives – their opportunities and their life chances – which makes all of us very proud.

“A lot of our work is made possible thanks to support we receive from various fundraising bodies, as well as the Wolves fans, the support we receive is always gratefully appreciated.”

“On behalf of all of us at the Foundation, many thanks to the Wolves fans for their backing, and, if you are able to support us again today, that would be fantastic in helping us continue to deliver and develop our projects across the city.”

There is a new event linked to this year’s Focus Fixture on Saturday morning with the Molineux Mile taking place inside the stadium as young people under the age of 11 complete three laps of the pitch with their parents/guardians.

A popular feature from previous fixtures will also be returning with the Wolves Disability FC fixture as the under-16s take on their counterparts from Chelsea at half time.

Foundation staff will be situated around the Feed Our Pack stand in the Fan Zone before the match chatting about the charity’s work and also raising awareness of the different ways fans can support the Foundation on the day.
