The Mander Centre have donated thousands of pounds to Wolves Foundation, following various fundraising initiatives in 2023.

An Official Partner of Wolves, the Mander Centre presented a cheque for £2581.49 to the club’s official charity after two major events rallied support from the community.

In September, the shopping centre hosted the ‘ONE GREAT DAY’ event, followed by ‘Geekcon’ in November, and charitable activities at both events raised vital funds.

The Mander Centre, who also sponsor Wolves Women, split these donations between ONE GREAT DAY, which supports various children’s charities, and the Wolves Foundation.

Richard Scharenguivel, general manager of the Mander Centre, said: “We are proud to support the Wolves Foundation and contribute to the vital work they do in our community.

“The funds raised reflect the generosity and commitment of our customers, retailers and team on site who all participated in these events. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”

Kieron Ansell, business development manager for Wolves Foundation, added: “We are so grateful for the Mander Centre fantastic support for our charity throughout 2023.

“As one of the key shopping destinations in the area, they see thousands come through the doors every day, so to have that support from the local community is fantastic for us.

“The funds will go directly into a range of projects at the Wolves Foundation, all with the aim of helping those in need and providing support across the city.”

"Of course it’s so important to give back to the community and Wolverhampton as a whole. It's great to be here and to show our support."
