Wolves Foundation recently hosted a morning of music, joy and laughter at a special celebration event for Molineux Memories, with support made possible in part through donations generated by players of the Wolves Lottery.

The North Bank Bar was filled with smiles, conversation and even a spot of dancing as participants, carers and supporters came together to celebrate the long-established project, which provides vital support for people living with dementia and their loved ones.

Entertainment was provided by Carl McGregor, Jenae Mills and Popstars finalist Hayley Evetts, while Wolves legends Steve Daley and Geoff Palmer, along with Wolves Foundation ambassador Suzi Perry, were among those enjoying the occasion.

“This was an event which reminded us just what Molineux Memories is all about, providing a community for people with dementia and their loved ones to get together, share experiences and enjoy themselves,” said Jade Sutton, health improvement manager with the Foundation.

“Molineux Memories has become a lifeline for our family over the last few years,” said Cheryl, whose father George lives with dementia.

“The weekly sessions have provided invaluable support and friendship and each session brings joy and humour to our lives which at times are sad, as we navigate our way through this cruel disease.”

Previously a funded project, Molineux Memories now relies heavily on donations and community support to continue making a difference. One of the key ways supporters can help sustain the project is through the Wolves Lottery, with proceeds from players helping Wolves Foundation deliver initiatives such as Molineux Memories.

By simply playing the Wolves Lottery, supporters are helping to provide friendship, laughter and invaluable support to people affected by dementia and their families, ensuring that projects like Molineux Memories continue to make a positive impact across the local community.
