A splash of Samba was brought to the Wolves Elders and Molineux Memories groups when two of the club’s boys from Brazil checked in for a special afternoon of bingo.

Strikers Diego Costa and Matheus Cunha headed to WV1 to meet and chat to participants from both of the groups, before leading a game of ‘Players Bingo’ in which numbers were replaced by the names of members of the Wolves’ squad.

The Wolves Foundation session provided some great fun as the two players mingled with those in attendance before and after the formalities!

Wolves Elders is a run by the Foundation as a social group for over-55s to come together once a week with the aim of helping combat any loneliness and isolation.

Molineux Memories, delivered in partnership with the Black Country NHS team from Brooklands Health Centre, is another group which meets weekly for patients with dementia and their carers, with sessions including looking through memorabilia and receiving visits from former players.

Those two projects offer an example of the range delivered by the club’s official charity, with one of the key aims to encourage healthier and more active people across our communities.

These health and wellbeing activities all start from the Healthy Goals project for pre-school children and their parents, just some of over 40 programmes delivered by Wolves Foundation.
