Be a Hiking Hero

Let’s make strides together…

Wolves Foundation and Compton Care have joined forces for an unforgettable Snowdon by Sunrise trek this summer.

Taking place on Sunday 2nd June, the funds raised from this event will be split equally between both charities to support our vital work in different communities across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.

The hike up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), which is being led by Sky Blue Adventures, will start at 1.45am along the Llanberis Path, reaching the summit at around 5am in time to enjoy breath-taking views during the golden sunrise.

Join us on this special trek and help us make strides together to support our local communities.

The event

If you are moderately fit, climbing Snowdon is definitely within your reach, and you will be fully supported on the stunning nine-mile trek by experienced mountain leaders.

Taking around six hours from start to finish, you will be greeted by bubbles and breakfast once the trek is completed at around 9am.

You will have the opportunity to attend an in-person briefing session, where you will get to hear from the experts at Sky Blue Adventures and meet your fellow Hiking Heroes!

Vicky's Story

As a Hiking Hero, you will be helping Compton Care continue to be there for people with life limiting conditions and their families when they need us most.

Vicky took part in Snowdon by Sunrise last year in memory of her mom, Joyce.

Compton Care holds a very special place in my heart as my beautiful mom, Joyce, was under Compton’s care and I will be forever thankful. To anybody considering signing up I would say just go for it! I think it’s good to push yourself and get out your comfort zone!

John's Story

With participants ranging from one month to 100 years old, Wolves Foundation’s work is delivered across the city, all year round improving the physical and mental health, personal development and life choices of people across Wolverhampton.

People like John, who benefitted from the Head for Health project.

Without the Wolves Foundation, I wouldn’t be here today.
