Wolves Foundation are delighted to announce that Nuffield Health have extended their sponsorship of Wolves Disability FC.
The UK’s largest healthcare charity have now supported Wolves Disability FC for two seasons, in addition to their existing commitment as one of the pack patrons for the club’s official charity.
Wolves Disability FC has an overall squad of around 80 players who train each week and play fixtures through the season in the Staffordshire Ability Counts League, with three teams at adult level, three at under-16s and two at under-12s.
Ten of the under-16 players will be taking to the pitch at half time of this evening’s Premier League game with Everton, as part of the Foundation’s annual Focus Fixture.
Charlie Cooper, director of operations at Nuffield Health in Wolverhampton, said: “I’ve been fortunate enough to witness at first hand the vital role Wolves Disability FC plays in so many people’s lives across various demographics, as well as the support network it affords them, so we’re delighted to have the opportunity to extend our sponsorship.
“We feel privileged to play a very minor role in enabling the teams to achieve their continued successes.
“It’s fantastic when two local charities, such as Wolves Foundation and Nuffield Health, whose goals and objectives are so closely aligned, can collaborate to deliver something so valuable for the benefit of those within the communities we serve.”
Kieron Ansell, head of business development at Wolves Foundation, added: “We are delighted that our close working relationship with Nuffield Health has seen them continue their sponsorship of Wolves Disability FC, which has such a positive impact on those belonging to the club.
“The half time fixture offers such a fantastic opportunity for the players to showcase their skills in front of a supportive Molineux crowd, but away from that game they work so hard throughout the season both in training sessions and at matches.
“It’s really powerful for them to know they have the support of such a well-known and reputationally strong company such as Nuffield Health, and helps them continue to wear their Wolves shirts with pride all the year around.
“We are all looking forward to this evening’s half time fixture at Molineux, and the continuing development of the teams moving forward, with thanks to Nuffield Health.”
